Centering Place is in partnership with Support for Healing Sim and website to help promote awareness to persons seeking help both in world in Second Life and in the Real World. Support for Healing is a peer to peer support based environment, meaning folks of similare concerns and interests meet to discuss their feelings, thoughts and plans with each other. Support for Healing and Centering Place are NOT a counselling venue. There are NO trained therapists, Doctors, Clinitians or clergy hired to be a sole source of therapy, diagnosis or treatment based help. It is simply everyday people helping each other by listening and empathising.
Resources are provided in the form of notecards, books, links to the internet, and landmarks to in world orgs, and sim's of relebancy to the person's concerns.
We are in need of resources now that the library is set up. Some resources ahve been listed at http://www.centeringplace.com/links.html. In world resources needed are:
Books written by you NOT by ohter authrs unless you have them contact me directly with a copy write proof of notice before submitting them. Very importnat as legally we cannot have material in the library that may breech copy right law.
Lists of other groups/sims/organizations within SL that offer support to the SL community. I need a brief discription of each, and an SLURL or landmark giver with the group info sent to me. (Amaya Summers)

All resources can be sent to me in 2 ways, I will place a mail box at SFH visitor center, and there are already mail boxes at Cascadia Sim at the freebie hut, and at the library itself and the main landing point.. sending multiple items to me will cap my IM and therefor will be lost in the transet process so please use the mail boxes to ensure I do get them.
We at Centering Place thank you in advance for your help. Our goal is to create a sort of data bank of resources that folks can come to research to find what they are needing in the Self Help and Peer Support areas. Everything from Real Life links to support group meetings within SL. Lets pull together and make this a labor of love.. for all of us.. you never know. there may be a day you may be in need too :).

Centering Place is a Sim Set up as a get away from all the hustle and bustle of SL. It is designed to be a quiet atmospher with sounds of nature all around and is meant to be explored. The intention is to encourage curiousity in people at the SL life around them so little surprises have been tucked in varioues places. So as you explore don't forget to look up, down and all around. Keep your ears open for new sounds and the eyes open for new sights.

Centering Place Landing point. Your first stop on the island.
Rocky Shores
Our very populare Live Music events venue set in a natural rocky shore setting.
CP/SFH Public Library
This library that is in joint partnership with Support for Healing Sim that will house self help information both in world and connected to the internet via computer within the library building.
Freebie Hut and Money Tree
This area is set up mainly for new residents to SL. New free itmes are added to the hut routinely so everyone is welcome to it.
Will's Pointe
The Soul Purpose to the Centeringt Place theme. To ground oneself and to heal. A place of rememberance of those who have gone before us.
Cascadia Falls
A special place in the center of Cascadia island dedicated to the Island Owner as a thank you for allowing Centering Place to use thier land for it's home. Greatly appreciated.
